Hi Flinter, I'd be interested in reading Moonshadow! I'm 55 and have only been sailing Hobies for about 10 years. At one time I owned 3 18's. Now I'm down to 1 18 and 2 14's.
You don't need much of a hitch to tow a Hobie, the minimum will do the job. I found that Hertz Rental also installs hitches at a reasonable price since so much of the stuff they rent requires it to be towed.
