It's never been exactly deep...  I did it in '74 in a Willow Wren Kerns
70ft-er, we managed the left turn after the aqueduct, and at the next bridge
run aground.  Only managed to get to end by turfing off the other 7 crew
members who pulled with a rope while I stayed onboard (huge sacrifice!) to
drive
