I don't think it is a case of battery charging - more a case of heating up hot water and providing power for onboard mod cons. Whether this is *demand led* or a response to the land based tourist industry I don't know. Presumably it isn't feasible at present to provide hire boats with mains hook-up, but I wouldn't be surprised, in the longer term, if BW provide moorings similar to those at Llangollen throughout the network and hire boats are provided with mains hook-up and designated overnight moorings :-( Phil ------------------------ Yahoo!
