At the end of September we are planning a gentle cruise from Anderton with
an Alvechurch boat for a fortnight. Current proposed itinerary is a gentle
7/8 day cruise to Chester and back followed by 6/7 days on the Weaver. It
may be that we spend a night in Chester. A few years back I spent a quiet
enough night in the basin below Northgate locks but wouldn't necessarily
want to negotiate the locks this time just to turn round below them. Has
anyone any recent experience or comments on overnighting in Chester please?
