Having risen in order to be away at 8.30 we fell in behind Albion as they
passed our overnight spot. Pinkhill lock was self operated before the lock
keeper came on duty. On our trip up to Radcot we have passed most of the other
possible GiG locations that were beaten by the Swan and it's amazing how
different they appear from the water compared to our reccy visit at the initial
planning stage.
Had to hover mid channel whilst queueing for Shifford lock as the landing area
was already full.
Finally arrived at Radcot having twisted and turned through one of the bendiest
but of river I have ever travelled. Returning home by car tomorrow for my
clinic appointment.
