Sorry to disappoint you but if you can't afford a hire boat holiday both in mid
winter and mid summer you can't afford to buy or live on a boat.
Moorings; licences; insurance & boat safety certificates cost money. The last
three are obligatory. The first is essential if you want to stay near one place
for work or social reasons.
