Are there any marina's that are jointly owned by the boat owners - ? OK I know boat clubs like the Staffordshire Boat Club are effectively collectively owned - but what I am meaning is the more recent and larger marinas.
I know committees can be a mixed blessing - but having boaters agree the terms of mooring would be better than one or tow people with their own agendas. ??? Would we want to moor in a marina owned by - for example IWA ( they run the Chelmer navigation don't they ? ), NABO, RBOA or whatever ?. Find a spot where a stream runs into the canal - buy the land - get planning permission etc etc. . The reason for the stream - means you don't need to pay BW for the water AFAIK. Malcolm
