Ok lets see were I can start here...Ok Pittsburgh PA 4 Rivers in the 
region and at least 4 major locks that I know of. On the allegany 
river there is the offten fatal mistake of boaters who come too 
close to the dams and go over and drown. Some have even tried to 
jump the dams with there speed boats rather then lock thru!!No word 
on if this unothodox method has worked :-),,,,We have a lot of high 
speed boats on the ohio with no speed limits( THERE ARE SOME near 
marinas) Mixing with barge traffic and that can cause problems
