I found I had already got it turned on, but there is also a downloadable  
tunable version at _http://www.microsoft.com/typography/ClearTypePowerToy.mspx_ 
(http://www.microsoft.com/typography/ClearTypePowerToy.mspx) .  This allows you 
to make adjustments to suit your own screen and  preferences.
