Subject: [canals-list] Cheshire Fire check offer

I received a similar letter this morning.
The letterhead would suggest it is a joint initiative between BW and
Cheshire Fire & Rescue following the two recent boat tragedies
in Cheshire . However, I assume that it is the Cheshire F & R who
have instigated this as they have been very proactive recently
in advertising their services and offering free Home Safety Assessments.

Cheshire F & RS seem to have plenty of money to spend at the moment.
No wonder our Council Tax is so high. It might have been better to
spend the money on subsidising the price of beer :-)
I assume that our addresses have been obtained from BW's
mooring database.
