The issue with smoking in company vehicles seems to be unclear at the
moment. The advice seems to be it will be banned in "liveried" vehicles, but
someone on their own in a car will be OK. If there is a second person in the
car though (even if they are both smokers) then smoking will be banned, even
if it's your own car being used on company business.

Also not necessarily OK to be self employed - OK if you are in your own
home, unless there's someone else there in connection with the business!

I suspect with boats, etc. they do mean passenger vessels of ANY size. It is
conceivably possible it could also include hire boats - especially when
there's a member of staff on board. In terms of policing, like most of this
law, it's simple - they'll just wait for the complaints and then jump in!
