You put this very carefully. And very exactly. John Gummer's policy review has not yet been finalised. There is, however, more than one way of skinning a cat. The Conservatives may well pledge not to sell off BW's property assets, but this does not prevent them taking account of them when assessing the annual treasury grant. I say again, there is NO way that ANY government will keep its hands off this stash. Robin Evans' efforts would be much better directed towards ensuring a regular annual grant at appropriate levels.
