It's worth mentioning that we saw Middlewich boat Maple go through
Alrewas yesterday, which makes me wonder if that was the one seen going
up Watford and down Foxton, thereby distracting everyone from the
disguised Holly.
Interestingly, the son and heir who takes a professional interest in
this sort of thing had commented when the saga first started that if he
wanted to nick a hireboat, he'd take it somewhere quiet and repaint the
name and reg number to match another boat in the fleet, which would
then be ignored until the winter when a full repaint job could be done.
It's still hard too see how this one hasn't been arrested by now.
