Are you sure it's not a piece of soot or rust from the exhaust shorting out 
the spark-gap?  That's a common fault that we suffered from on FC2, and one 
reason why we've not got a gas fridge on FC3.

I'm not sure what the state of play on that point is with the BSS.  It may 
ir may not now be advisory rather than mandatory.  Somebody here will know.

The chap who used to service our fridge on FC2 was Roger Alsop.  Do you know 
him?  I can't remember whether he's on this list or not  -  he's either here 
or on uk.rec.waterways (or both).  He'll be at Cavalcade. But I know he's 
run off his feet at the moment in his day job.
