Hi!

I have recently been in the RED LION. My opinion of the food there is
rather poor and could not personally recommend this pub.
Went to the WHITE LION tonight and had deep fried camenbert. Niceky
served up on the plate and looked attractive but the food was not
hot, only a bit more than warm, so was disspoin ting to me.

I agree, THE ANGLERS RETREAT does sedrve the best food in the area
and has a good selection of beers and also has Thatchers Cider on
draught.

The CANAL JUNCTION is rather expensive, with jacket popatoes with a
filling at around £4.95 + depending on the filling. It would appear
that they are trading on the old reputation when there was a curry
night and many other interesting things. Most of the boaters use the
Anglers Retreat which has the best atmosphere IMHO.

Regards ~Allan~
