Hi Martin and All,
What a shame we missed you. With regard to the Ashton lock, I know exactly
how that happened. It was fine when we went through. I was told by a boat
crew coming down about an hour after us, who moored next to us in
Castlefields. They were held up, while BW, who they telephoned, fixed the
paddle after a certain hotel boat, in a hurry, was letting the paddles drop
and not replacing the anti vandal locks. Grrrrr.
