We used to have a lot of trouble with the chimney collar on Copperkins, until it dawned that the join beween the flue pipe and collar should really be a sliding joint, to cope with the expansion and contraction of the flue. When that joint was re-done with glass fibre chimney sealing tape, and the old sealant was removed, it stopped pushing the collar off the roof. -- Iain Yahoo!
