Not an answer to your question, but as a matter of interest, our boat doesn't have the normal collar, but a short length of 6in diameter flue pipe welded to the roof. So, no possibility of a leak, assuming the weld is sound. I wonder why more boatbuilders don't do it this way. -- Robin Lewis - nb Locksley
