and although there are indeed places where the long term on-line
moorings would be better if shorter (though not at Sawley, IMHO), the
real problem is the unofficial colonies of continuous moorers, and I
don't see anything in BW's current strategy that will do anything other
than exacerbate the problem. Boating up and down the GU between Weedon
and MK this year we've found clump after clump of these, much worse
than last year, even. I guess BWW doesn't even have effective powers to
move them on, even if they had the budget for enough patrol officers to
enforce it.
Meanwhile I've signed the petition, on the principle that anything that
makes Sally Ashs's life harder is to be supported.
