Ian Clarke on Straight Across and most of the 70 or so boats are still having a protracted Thames Vintage Boat Club gathering at Fawley Meadows (Henley Straight). The news they have from the EA is that Henley has now peaked, as the Loddon and Kennet are now down. They have built landing stages and riding posts, as well as having inflatables protecting the outlying craft. One of the scariest things were the 40ft regatta floaty separation timbers coming unhooked and heading down towards them like torpedos. The biggest concern they now have is running out of red wine! -- Neil Arlidge - NB Earnest - Shannon Reg 7410 Read about the start of our Irish travels at: http://www.tuesdaynightclub.co.uk/Tour_07/April_07/index.html Visit this site and help save our waterways from the DEFRA cuts http://www.saveourwaterways.org.uk/
