And perhaps the subject "New to group" led to the auto-conclusion "new to boating" which is usually the case. Generally the reaction to such enquiries is sympathetic and helpful. Mrs Beeky and I certainly wouldn't welcome your propose itinerary as part of a military campaign, let alone a "holiday".
