Thanks Martin, it's just that the Nichs was so positive. It didn't say 'closed every third year', 'closed every year that can be considered a prime number' or anything like that. It stated that the last two weeks of September were routine maintenance and that could have had the implication for my journey North (if I had been forced to do the journey a little later) that you state in your last sentence.
