I can remember Barton Tank being closed for maintenance in the past. I can't recall when the last time that I noticed it was. I really don't know whether it is every year. Maybe it is one of those things that they assume everybody knows so don't bother putting it into the stoppage list! Maybe they have switched to maintaining it in March? Maybe a call to 0161 6298266 would resolve the matter? -- Martin Clark Internet Boaters' Database http://www.boaterweb.co.uk Pennine Waterways Website http://www.penninewaterways.co.uk
