Further investigation reveals that BW have washed their hands of the
situation, it would appear to be yet more of Roger Herrington's historic
misinformation.

IHH that Napton Narrowboats say nothing is set in stone and will investigate
ways to keeping barriers low key, not obstructing tow ropes and with 24/7
access for boaters. One would hope that something good will come of this,
one of the last totally intact set of "stop" and junction buildings will be
retained with sympathetic use, boaters facilities will be also be retained
at this important waterways cross roads and the sanitary station could be
reinstated.

As for people complaining that NWF have chosen a bad site for the 2008
National, I am of the persuasion that think it is a bloody good site, an
area that needs "winning" back from the yobs and to get people to cruise
round the BCN...Napton Narrowboats have also put their money where their
mouth is to invest in this area.
