I can assure you that they don't.  The group of owners make the decision on 
when to renew, although clearly OwnerShips offer advice.  OwnerShips has no 
fixed policy on when to change an engine.

At the time our gearbox failed, we were given the choice of having the 
engine stripped and repaired (or not) and the choice of having it replaced 
(or not).  We were also given approximate figures for each course of action. 
The group of owners were the ones who made the decision.

We are aware of other OS boats which have had their engines replaced long 
before 14,000 hours.  There was never any pressure on us to have the engine 
replaced at any arbitary point in time.
