You are talking a fair bit of work there George. Also, don't forget, 
that it's not fit and forget it will still need servicing and possible 
repair. Without knowing the size of the space that you are talking it 
is difficult to appreciate whether servicing and reapir would be 
feasible in the under-deck area that you mention.
Your TP option would use less room but you would still need a larger 
pulley fitted to the engine in all probability and there may be 
complications with the number and sizes of existing drives hanging on 
the front of the engine. This is why the poly-vee belt method driving 
several ancilliaries is the best solution in that case. There is a 
limit to the front crankshaft nose overhang and side loading that each 
manufacturer will allow for their engines and so it is not possible to 
keep bolting on more and more pulleys for vee-belt drives.
