John enquired: > And when after 9 weeks in hospital and 8 skin grafting operations on > your legs a boater passing at speed shoots a bowl of very hot soup into > your lap whose fault is that. I know how it feels it happened to me!
I regret to say that if you accept Adrian's logic (and I don't by the way) it is entirely your fault. Not only didn't you secure your boat rigidly to the edge but you knowingly risked self-inflicted wounding by hot soup. It is also possible that you could have exposed the innocent passing, speeding boater to some distress had you gone out of the boat and remonstrated with him. It seems to me m'lud that the evidence in this case clearly points to the victim being the perpetrator in this case ;-)))) As Dorothy has said, on this topic and leaving gates open, you will never convince Adrian that others even have a point worth considering and so her advice is probably sound, unless you want to get into an interminable discussion that spirals round and round until it disappears up its own ether.
