Interesting, Bradshaws compiled from original canal co documents list the 
following locks 7-8-9 Buckby
10-13 Buckby  thats a toal of 6 locks  CKP.

Nicholson's is typically vague (inaccurate) here, It seems to use 
"Whilton locks" and "Buckby locks" interchangeably. I don't have any of 
my other boating books with me over here, so couldn't double check the 
correct names.
