You should come to a meeting of our villagers. Many of the people there don't
hear the opposition - they just repeat their argument (right or wrong) over and
over. If anyone suggests a compromise both sides start on them as being
intruders and 'not living here for the last xxx years'. Most of them are
related so maybe it's all to do with inbreeding.

I'd give up Roger. I decided a long time ago that the form
of English taught to Adrian doesn't contain the phrase 'sorry,
I'm wrong you are right' or any variation of the same.
A decent debate is only possible if both parties are capable of
being able to change their original position.
