I was speaking to someone who had had this arrangement on his 
narrowboat. He had encountered regular problems with the operation of 
the fridge, so eventually changed the fridge to a 12 volt, and then 
had no further problems. I didn't quiz him further about why he had 
had these problems, so I can't say whether it was related to the 
inverter, battery load, electrical fault(s) etc, nor do I know which 
inverter he had and whether it was square wave, modified sine wave or 
pure sine wave.
