Date - 19 /05/08
Day - Monday
Start - 0900 Wargrave Marsh
End - 1600 Goring

We woke with bit of a list to port as the river dropped a couple of
inches overnight and I had to push us off the gravel before we had a
shower as the water would have been nowhere near the plug hole.
Last night was very clear and cold with the temperature dropping below
3C Although the day was dry it was very cloudy and quite cool at times
and again very little traffic about, we didn't share a lock all day. As
we approached Reading we saw a Cuckoo calling in the very top of a tree
and once in Reading was stopped at Tesco. I do wonder how much one of
their shopping trollies costs as there appears to be very little effort
collecting the ones dumped just outside the gate, abandoned when the
brakes come on. I tried to explain to a Spanish chap what was happening
when his trolley stopped dead, but he went back inside I found a cleaners
trolley that wasn't fitted with magnetic brakes and diapered up the
towing path with that. We continued on to Goring where we are moored on
the visitor moorings, just getting into a space about 6 inches longer
than the boat. The chap in front in a barge did offer to pull forward if
we didn't have room but we got in OK.
