I have personally found that almost all cyclists are considerate to
walkers and other canal users. I haven't had any problems when
walking the towpath. I myself occassionally use my folding bike, to
connect my boat and car "Shuffle" movements and found fisherment and
walkers helpful and accomodating. I don't see any great problem, here.

I do admit that there is a small minority that "Buzz" around on the
towpath with illegal motorised bikes and the occassional cyclist who
has no regard to others but how are you going to stop these isolated
incidents? No amount of rules will do this. These people don't take
any notice of them. I personally think that BW has quite a good mix,
which allows all sorts of people to enjoy the canals.

PS What I do object to is the beauocracy that is "Storming" the
canals from all sorts of areas! Canals & countryside used to be
places to get away from it all!
