It would have been a Kingfisher... it's the only one we've got :)

Arthur, many more posts like that and you'll be discouraging people
from wanting to come and visit the canal :)

It does seem like you had a baptism of fire. My first few trips were
marked by drifting work boats and the like (and the embarrassment of
jumping off the boat to take a leak only to find that the secluded
spot chosen was right next to a public footpath!)

It was nice to meet you on Thursday and I look forward to working with
you. Do you mind if I copy your report onto the Seth Ellis crew blog?
