Very good mooring in Paddington Basin, Little Venice not bad if closer to the pool, Kensal Rise also good. Islington VM very busy, same with Victoria Park but Vicky Park also good mooring. All ok for up to 7 days. Limehouse is 1 day only. Lots of boats at Springfield on the Lee Navigation, also at Stonebridge, beware the lock as thing the electric one is on the blink again so there will be lots of manual winding of granny paddles. Mooring at Springwell below Ricky is nice, also above Black Jacks in Harefield if you can find a space, or on the visitor mooring above Uxbridge Lock is very peaceful. Brentford Visitor moorings very good with access to pump out, showers, laundry etc.
As with any city mooring anywhere in the country it pays to take basic sensible precautions regarding security. Most people don't have any problems, occasionally people are unlucky or just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Don't forget Graham Keens on Jannock maintains a handy list of local police telephone numbers on the Jannock website. Report any incident, near-miss or problems to BW and if appropriate the Police. BW will do their best to help. London office main number is 020 7985 7200. Brand new "Boating in London" guide available from customer services and lists every visitor mooring and facilities along with lots of other useful stuff. I've got a few recommendations for shopping, eating and drinking if you are interested. HTH, Debbi
