The moorings at Paddington Basin are our favourites when in London as
the transport into the West End is good so we can get in and see a show
and up to now we have always been able to find a space. The area is
patrolled by a private security firm who keep a close eye on comings and
goings so it is very secure.

If you don't mind mooring against a high wall there are 7 day moorings
at Limehouse on the other side of the basin from Thames Lock. We have
left The Rosery their on several occasions. There is of course the
Marina but you need a second mortgage to stay there. Transport from
Limehouse into the city is Good. Buses run along the main road into the
City and West End and the Docklands Light Railway will take you to the
Tower and much of the East End. There is one other mooring near
Limehouse that is at Three Mills. We found it a bit noisy due to trains
running past but it is very handy for Tesco's supermarket.
