Hi Steve
I think it will have calmed down by now it was Amber going up to Radcote and
went Red whilst we were there .
Going through the Radcote Bridge at that time would require a good run at it
to punch through.
Even more interesting was the fact you have to give way to traffic coming
down .
The boat I was with didn't fancy that so we stayed put and came back the
next day .Trips between some locks were Amber others Red .
The landing stages up river were flooded with the excess being discharged
from the Weirs being opened big time .
You only need to check with EA or check the warning at Dukes Cut Lock before
you go.
As I said earlier I think it will be ok now as the levels should have
dropped .
Enjoyed the trip but boy was the Oxford slow when we came back onto it ,bit
like dropping off a Motorway onto a slip road!!
The Weather did improve after that and we did shorten our days and stopped
for Lunch as we had a few days to spare.
Ended up in Warwick last Saturday ,Saltiford Arm ,very good moorings and
reasonable.
Heading for the Ashby next in a few weeks for Shackerstone Rally.
Enjoy your trip and the Sunshine (they say summer is on it's way!! not sure
which two days they were referring too!!
