Brings back memories of a Sunday afternoon in late October a few years
ago. I had been planning on moving Arun downstream from Reading to
Henley but decided to stay where I was and move on Monday evening after
work. The river was running rather fast and I really didn't fancy
meeting one of the Caversham boats in the bridge hole at Sonning
determined to press on through the bridge as he was there first.

For those of you who don't know, Sonning bridge is fairly narrow, and
just after a kink in the river. Basically, when the river is running
you are committed to going through before you can see if it's clear or not!
