Hmmm...
I'm replying to the list, tho' I know the original was meant only for
me, because a) I want to see the headers on one of my own posts, and b)
I'd be interested in other folks' views, especially Andy Greener's.
My immediate reactions are: firstly, good heavens, does anybody
actually *like* the bloated html ridden results that Yahoo calls "Fully
featured" (to which the answer, obviously, is yes) and secondly, since
I'm apparently using a perfectly standard character set that causes no
probs to any other application I'm aware of, isn't this Yahoo's problem
rather than mine?
Be that as it may, I've had a mooch around my settings, and can't find
anything in them to suggest why this is happening. Apple Mail just
gives me the option of plain text or rtf, so I'm powerless as far as I
can see to do much about it. (That's where I'd be grateful for any
input from Andy.)
Other apps give me much more choice of character set, but that's no
help here.
I'll break off there to see how the headers on this look, and for any
input from the assembled might of the list's technophiles.
Meantime, apologies to those who are unwillingly having to read this
in the form in which I composed it ;-))
Oh, and... GRIEF doesn't Yahoo get up your nose sometimes!
