I've not had such a bad experience as yourself, Richard. It's not
great, but I can live with it. It doesn't cope well around Burton,
interestingly - there seems to be a lot of cell overlap between Burton
and Fradley, and that's when the driver struggles to cope.
I'm still using Mac OS 10.3.9, cos I never upgraded to 10.4, which is
now u/a, and my little 800 MHz iBook can't handle 10.5. Main problem
with that is most third party software now specs 10.4 and above, like
Mac interfaces for the Garmin eTrex or for the Sony Reader.
I may be reduced to getting an el cheapo Windoze laptop just to do that
sort of thing, as the iBook is more than adequate for everything else I
do, so I don't see the need to lay out a grand for a new MacBook.
