There aren't any threads. I receive an email digest.
Most annoying things:
1. people who quote a vast posting and add their own three words at the end.
2. people who quote a vast posting and interleave their replies throughout it
3. people who write it's when they mean its (and other schoolboy howlers)
4. pound signs, which appear in my digests as euro-space-pipe-pound
5. smart quotes, which appear as a string of gobbledegook
6. everything else
