I have a copy of a signed report from all the major fuel injection
equipment suppliers, worldwide, that clearly states that only EN590
derv is to be used in their equipment. Its dated 2004.

VAG's refusal to explain exactly where the problms with bio were
likely to manifest themselves leaves me with the distinct impression
that the manufacturers are suppressing the truth of the matter. I
further suspect it may be related to the emissions not being tested
with bio-diesel and possibly the variability in bio-diesel
constituents. However I can not afford to risk several thousand
pounds worth of engine damage.

If I can digress slightly from the theme of this evenings symposium (aka Tom
Lehrer) I find that if I use the diesel from a certain major supermarket
that doesn't start with T,M or W I get a stench of burning rubber out of my
exhaust. I'd only had the car three weeks when the dealer took the rear
brakes apart as I'd complained about the stench. I run my Zafira on BP's
Ultimate diesel as the computer reckons that on a long run I get 10% better
mileage. It might be subjective but I reckon I get more oomph as well.
