*I* don't know that, but I know there is a widely held misconception  about

I also know that less than 5% of our intake of fat is spreadable, so  it 
doesn't matter (in a properly balanced diet) whether you have a reasonable  
amount 
of churned cream with a bit of added salt (butter), a naturally produced  oil 
from squashed vegetation (olive, corn, rape, etc), or a heavily processed  
blend of vegetable, fish and mineral oil which has been deodorised, bleached  
and plasticised, and has colour, flavour and vitamins added to make it  appear 
natural.
 
Oh, and there is an opinion that 'high' levels of cholesterol in the blood  
stream is actually a sign that the body is working efficiently by removing the  
cholesterol that every cell produces and moving it to a place where it can be 
 broken down safely.
