Christine wrote about Slow cookers. MegaP has used a slow cooker on Jannock for a couple of years now, connected to a cheapo 800W, might resemble a sine wave occaisionally, inverter. Initially it used to sit on a wooden board on the rear bed because of the location of the invertor but the smell of dinner about an hour before the evening stop became too much for the steerer. Last winter I ran an extension cable along to the galley so it now lives there and keeps the steerer more attentive to the job in hand. The best meal (repeatedly) to come from the slow cooker is her 'Basingstoke Air Freshener' recipe which is a variation of a curry that has been tried by several members on this list. I like it because you can have a hot meal within minutes of tying up which is great in the cold or damp weather.
