>From my recent (Wilderniied*) trips round London, I would gauge that the 
genuine Continuous Cruisers amout to a handful, out of hundreds of 
Continuous Moorers.
There was also a frightening lack of boaters in "holiday" boats.

Wilderniied* - in  a tatty plastic boat, you get to talk to a lot of bridge 
hoppers
