Our boat has a frost stat which fires up the Eberspacher when the temperature
goes below 3 degrees.

However in this cold spell the Eberspascher has been draining the
battery so leaving the the boat unprotected against the cold.
I have the opportunity of some shoreline power and propose to run a
trickle charger to keep the battery topped up. I understand that a
'normal' battery charger left on permanently could damage the batteries
and that a special trickle charger is needed.

Does anyone have more info on this and can point me in the right
direction?

Thanks

Steve
