Careful Adrian, I have a practising one breathing down my neck!...who just happens to be doing work associated with the MWRG http://www.maidenheadwaterways.org/ Lets all have a bash at the planners... You will be glad to know that LB Eltham have just re-evaluated their planners jobs and are going to pay them 1500 quid a year less. Most LA's have a moriturium on recruiting new planning staff. A lot of planning staff, busy a couple of months ago are now sitting around twidling their thumbs. RBWM Section 106 agreement income was around 350,000 grand a month, last month is was 1200 quid and don't forget this was in one of the most affluent areas of the UK. Most boaters never go to such an office, and if one > does the chances are his boat will be days away from it. So boaters can boat straight in, for advice/pay licence/pay fines/complain. But when why should BW be interested in a minority user? Talk of minority user... look see how the anglers have organised themselves: http://www.anglingtrust.net/ 4 Million supporters? and just look at who is supporting it! (EA and BW) Be afraid boaters...very afraid. Perhaps one day we could all talk with one voice...but unlikely. > I feel BW should choose its office location based significantly on > ease of reaching it by car and train, and cost. and on the waterways...you know...in one of those locations owned by BW! Have you tried parking for free in Watford? The BW HQ is now so small, they could have built it on their Goldberg's site in Uxbridge. We all know why BW HQ has to be down south..so all the Board members can earily get in to "work". -- Neil Arlidge - NB Earn-less Follow the travels of TNC, now in Ireland (where the IWAI is in turmoil) http://www.tuesdaynightclub.co.uk/tour.html
