Hi,

We followed the bank of the Flash right around, passing the sailing club
close in on our right hand side. Going up to the top and then back down the
other side.

As I said before the trick is to keep to the outside, temptation is to think
of the centre of an area of water as the deepest, here it does not work due
to silt. So unless you are in a dingy keep to the outside edge.

Oak draws 30 inches and the water was at normal levels so there is
sufficient depth in the right place.

We went up onto the flash, cruised around it and then went back through the
vegetation and moored on the straight just before the lock back down
overnight.

P.S. If you want to do it, but are afraid of grounding, (i.e. want to watch
an idiot like me run aground :-( ) Then we are going back there on a
September cruise, unless the Weaver is flooding.

All the best,

Martin Reed.
