Technically you're right. We microchip dogs and cats to reveal owner's details (for the good of the dogs and cats....and maybe the owners ;-)))) so why not humans? Then, with a more sophisticated chip we could track them........all for our own good you understand.....and then maybe, for those naughty ones, a chip that could track AND punish.......all for our own good you understand!!!! And before you know it we've got a nightmare greater than Orwell's 1984. But do you realise that this could be far cheaper solution than mandatory ID cards and biometric passports?.....We could control the population AND save money.... we could spin it as saving the taxpayer money AND improving security, a real bonus deal for all, in times of economic hardship.......Phew, I'll have to get a grip, I'm beginning to sound like a deranged politician! ;-))) I haven't read the books that you quote but we MUST resist any further descent into state control/manipulation. I like the analogy of the frog and saucepan fable, it's just like the nation now, sleepwalking into a controlled state.....all for our own good you understand!!!!! Grrr, I'll go and sit down in a darkened room so that I can have my nightmare in private ;-))) Also <exits, shaking head slowly> Roger Ahem, (on topic) My new boat build has been brought forward by the builder due to the guy in the slot ahead of me not having his finances in place. I sign contract next Tuesday, yeahhhhh! ;-)))
