Yeah, too bad. It was the first waterways pub I ever went into (the second was what was then called "The Rose And Castle" at Braunston junction; IIRC it had skittles too). At that time, the Nelson was a *real* pub, dark and cosy, with a door opening straight on to the lockside which showed where it was expecting its customers to come from.
