My guess would be that it does well in the summer months when there
are both lots of boaters and waterside visitors about, but may well be
near-empty much of the time the rest of the year as other Braunston
pubs are closer for most locals and there is no passing trade as it's
up a dead end.

It still had loads more character than the the big pub near the
junction whose name escapes me.

(And I know there's no such thing as a boating season!)
